ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan Wednesday said his party will dismiss its plan to protest in Karachi on December 12 if the government constitutes the proposed Judicial Commission to investigate into the ‘rigging of elections 2013’.
Addressing his party’s ongoing sit-in here, Imran Khan said if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wants to hold dialogue, so does PTI.
“The day the Judicial Commission conducts its proceedings our protest will come to an end,” he said, adding the JC can be formed in a matter of one day.
He said if the government is really serious to end the political crisis, it should constitute the JC before the PTI protest in Karachi.
“We are aware that the country suffers economically due to protest but, unfortunately, no other option has been left for us,” he noted.
He said maybe the judicial commission is formed by Thursday. “But, in case if it doesn’t, we’ll go ahead according to the plan and shut down Karachi,” he cautioned.
Imran Khan, however, added that there will be no forceful closure of business in Karachi.
