Mazari decries PTI workers attack on Geo News team

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decried the attack on Geo News anchorperson Sana Mirza and other members of the reporting team by the protesters of PTI during its protest demonstration in Lahore.

“We denounce the harassment of journalists,” said Shireen Mazari, the spokesperson of PTI.

She assured that an action will be taken against those who misbehaved with the journalists.

Earlier in the evening, defying clear instructions from the PTI chief Imran Khan to desist from misbehaving with media persons, the party’s activists relentlessly harassed Sana Mirza who at one point could not take it anymore and broke into tears.

The PTI workers also ill treated the Geo News reporter Amin Hafeez, senior anchor Sohail Warraich, Ahmed Faraz and Jawad Malik.
