Fire in Karachi building extinguished

KARACHI: A fire erupted in a building near Baloch Colony in Karachi on Tuesday morning that was extinguished before it could cause heavy loss, Geo News reported.

According to the details, fire broke out on the seventh floor of a multi-storey building situated on main Shahra-e-Faisal near Baloch Colony. Several persons who got trapped inside the building were rescued with the help of snorkel as smoke filled the area.

Fire brigade sources told that four fire tenders were used to douse the flames while water bowsers were also called in.

Initial report suggested that fire broke out due to short circuit while further investigation is underway.
