Petrol shortage in several Punjab cities

LAHORE: Motorists in Punjab are finding it difficult to reach their destinations due to a petrol shortage in several cities of the province.

Long queues of vehicles can be seen at petrol stations in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Jhelum. The shortage is being attributed to the decrease in petroleum prices and unavailability of CNG for four months in the province.

Thursday is the third day of the petrol shortage in Lahore and people could be seen pushing their motorcycles in search of petrol.

Petrol station owners said there is a delay in supply of fuel from companies and expressed hope that the situation could improve by Thursday evening.
