Governor meets Imran, announces IDPs committee
PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan on Monday announced constitution of a high level committee for the resolution of problems confronted by IDPs and tribal people.

The announcement was made during a meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan and tribal elders at Governor House here.

Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan will head the committee while the other members include high ups of provincial government and FATA administration besides tribal elders.

The committee would serve as coordination between provincial government and FATA secretariat.

During the meeting, the PTI chief was also briefed regarding steps taken for the development of tribal areas and repatriation and rehabilitation of IDPs.

Expressing views in the meeting, Imran Khan appreciated the efforts of KP Governor for the development and uplift of FATA besides resolving problems confronted by tribesmen.

He also stressed formulation of a forum to liaise the efforts of provincial government and FATA secretariat in this regard.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor appreciated the role of tribesmen for the country and said that they have left their native land in the greater interest of motherland.

Chief Minister KP Pervaiz Khattak, Speaker Asad Qaiser, Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan and other concerned officials also attended the meeting.
