LAHORE: Test cricketer Mohammad Asif, who has been suspended by the ICC on charges of spot fixing, will become bridegroom on September 30.
The fast bowler said that his marriage would be proved a pleasant turning point in his life and his bride would bring happiness for him.
Asif’s nikah was solemnised some four months ago with Sana Hilal belonging to Karachi and he had announced to bring his bride home after the cricket series against England.
Mohammad Asif told Geo News that his wedding preparations were also affected by the controversies through which he had to go.
Asif is the youngest of his brothers and sisters due to which his family members want to make the wedding ceremony memorable one but Asif says that only ‘one dish’ would be served at his wedding parties.
Valima ceremony will be held on October 1 for which Mohammad Asif has invited his friends, former and present officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board and colleague cricketers.
