KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh has released a policeman who was arrested during a raid at Mominabad police station on Friday.
SP Orangi Town Ali Asif confirmed that constable Jan Muhammad was handed over to police.
Additional Karachi IG Ghulam Qadir Thebo said the arrest was result of a misunderstanding.
He, however, added that police too will interrogate the cop who was arrested by the paramilitary force for his involvement in gang-war.
SSP West accused Rangers of torturing policemen and resorting to aerial firing in the police station during the raid.
