House-fire claims 7 of a family, CM summons report

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif has summoned a report over the house-fire that claimed the lives of 7 members of the same family on Wednesday.

The CM has expressed grief over the incident and said action will be taken against rescue officials if their efforts to save the lives are found wanting.

The fire in Rawalpindi scheme 3 broke out at 5AM on Wednesday in a two-storey house occupied by two families. While the family living on the ground floor were able to escape unhurt, but 5 children a woman and her husband occupying the upper-storey of the building were unable to escape.
