KARACHI: Law Enforcement Agencies have achieved a major development in fisheries corruption scandal and arrested Watch and Ward in-charge, Zulfiqar Chief from West Harbor.
Sources said the accused was fleeing in the ambulance of Fishermen Cooperative Society when he was nabbed by the LEAs.
Zulfiqar Chief is said to be close aide of Qamar Sultan Siddiqui, the Vice Chairman of the Fishermen's Cooperative Society (FCS), and a recovery master.
Zulfiqar was tasked for recovery from the vehicles, carrying fish from Balochistan.
It may be noted here that the fish arrive on the coasts of Balochistan was shifted to fisheries for sale and alleged Rs4 million per week were extorted from the vehicles of the province.
