K-Electric chairman seeks resignation from CEO

KARACHI: The chairman of K-Electric has sought resignation from the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tayyab Tareen over his failure to cope with the prevailing power crisis that has gripped the country’s commercial capital.

Sources told Geo News that the CEO has been asked to tender his resignation with immediate effect.

A spokesman for the power utility company rejected reports of the CEO's resignation, terming them as baseless.

Earlier today, Sindh Home Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the government would arrest the administration of the K-Electric if it fails to mend its ways.
