PESHAWAR: An election tribunal in Peshawar on Thursday disqualified Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) provincial lawmaker Malik Behram Khan who had returned successful in the 2013 general elections.
Behram was elected to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly's PK-93 seat in Upper Dir during the 2013 general elections with 13,580 votes.
Behram's academic degree had been challenged in the tribunal by Pakistan People's Party's (PPP) Sahibzada Sanaullah, who was the runner-up candidate with 9,799 votes.
