Pakistan protests bail of Samjhauta Express mastermind
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner to lodge a protest over the bail granted to the mastermind of Samjauta Express blast, by an Indian court.

According to the Foreign Office spokesman, Pakistan has expressed strong reservation over the performance of the Indian court in the case, telling the Deputy High Commissioner that New Delhi has not taken action against the mastermind and other culprits of the attack.

He said government of Pakistan expresses hope that Indian would take to task those who are responsible for the February 2007 attack on Samjhauta Express.

An Indian court has granted bail to Swami Aseemanand, arrested for planning the deadly attack on the Samjhauta Express, a train headed to Pakistan, in which 42 Pakistani innocent citizens lost their lives.
