Three killed in Karachi police shootout

KARACHI: Three wanted accused involved in extortion, murder and kidnapping for ransom were killed in exchange of fire with police in Korangi.

SSP SIU Farooq Awan said police conducted raid in Korangi’s Chakra Goth, where the accused opened fire. In retaliation, three wanted accused involved in murder, extortion and kidnapping for ransom were killed.

The bodies have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities.
Meanwhile, police have arrested two robbers, who were looting the citizens in Brigade Area. Arms were also recovered from the accused identified as Qaiser alia Kala and Rizwan aka Papu.

Separately, three workers of a political party were taken into custody by LEAs in a raid and were shifted to undisclosed location.
