After the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, Charles took over the monarchy and became King of the United Kingdom and the 14 other Commonwealth realms.
However, following his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, rumours broke that Charles may abdicate the throne in favour of his son, Prince William. But it has not happened yet nor Charles has any plans to do so.
