In the new trailer of The Conjuring: Last Rites, a demon haunts paranormal investigators Patrick Wilson (Ed) and Vera Farmiga (Lorraine).

Michael Chaves, the film's director, said the pair will bow out from the franchise with the upcoming movie, “This would bring a close to the Ed and Lorraine [Warren] story.”

As its logline read, "Ed and Lorraine Warren face their darkest case yet when a remote village is terrorized by a demonic entity rooted in ancient rituals, forcing them to confront their own mortality and the very nature of evil."

The Conjuring: Last Rites is in theatres September 5, 2025.
