Matthew Goode reportedly will not be returning to Downtown Abbey.
In a new chat with TVLIne, the show's creator, Julian Fellowes shared that Goode has officially left the estate.
He further explained that it was actually Matthew's choice not to return.
“For Matthew, once he'd done the series, I think he felt he'd done the job,” he said while praising the actor his acting talent.
