Tom Hanks celebrated the official opening of his new off-Broadway play, "This World of Tomorrow," on Tuesday (November 18) in New York.
The play is based on a series of short stories written by the veteran actor. Tony winner Kelli O'Hara is part of the all-star cast, which is directed by Kenny Leon.
Hanks portrays Bert Allenberry, a disenchanted scientist who repeatedly time travels to the 1939 New York World's Fair in Queens, New York, dreaming of what the future could be.
The show will run until December 21 at The Shed.
