Timely steps help control dengue: Advisor

LAHORE: Special Advisor to Chief Minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq has said the dengue virus remains under control owing to timely and effective measures taken by the Punjab government.

Dengue threat is almost over now but people should adopt preventive measures he added.

Addressing an assembly of health workers and volunteers here Thursday, he said like previous years they fought against dengue at all levels as the government machinery and elected representatives remained active and successfully eliminated the virus.

He praised the chief minister Punjab for his untiring efforts to keep officials of almost every department on foot to tackle dengue. The advisor urged the masses to continue taking steps to keep their houses offices and other places neat and clean.
