Karachi: five TTP militants killed in alleged police encounter
KARACHI: Five terrorists were killed in an alleged police encounter in Gulshan-e-Buner in Karachi, Geo News reported.

Police said huge quantity of weapons, explosive material and instruments – used for terrorism—were also recovered during the action. The militants belong to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

SSP Malir Rao Anwar said personnel, motorcycle squad and armoured vehicles of all the police stations of district Malir took part in the operation.

He said police entered the main office of the militants where they faced massive resistance. During exchange of fire, five terrorists were killed.

SSP Rao Anwar said Javed alias Umer, commander of banned outfit in Swat was among the militants killed during the encounter.
