ISLAMABAD: To review allegations leveled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan regarding poll rigging, a meeting of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is due today (Wednesday), Geo News reported.
The sources said that all the four provincial members of the commission would attend the meeting that will be chaired by caretaker Chief Election Commissioner Anwar Zaheer Jamali.
The members will review Khan’s allegations regarding printing of additional ballot papers and poll rigging.
The secretary Election Commission told that the commission will also review the allegations leveled by former additional secretary ECP Afzal Khan.
The commission was due to meet on Tuesday (yesterday) but due to the sit-in staged by the PTI and PAT workers on Shahra-e-Dastoor, the meeting was deferred.
Sources told that today’s session is likely to be held in a hotel instead of ECP office.
