Will defend constitution at any cost: Khursheed
ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) heavyweight Khursheed Shah on Saturday said that his party would defend the constitution at any cost.

Talking to newsmen here, Khursheed Shah said the participants of sit-ins did not care for democracy and the parliament, adding that pro-democracy people were standing by them.

Shah added that his party had made it clear that Parliament is ‘supreme’. He refused to comment on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s statement, saying he missed his press conference.

Khursheed Shah asked the masses to be vigilant and see who was playing what role.

He said he considered the Army protector of democracy.

To a question, he called Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain a ‘king’ of his own realm.
