Investigation terms CSP Officer's death a 'suicide'

LAHORE: Punjab Police officially declared CSP Officer Nabeeha Chaudhry’s death as a 'suicide' on Wednesday.

Punjab Police on Wednesday declared their investigation of Chaudhry’s death to have been completed. The Civil Services of Pakistan (CSP) officer part of the Audit and Accounts Unit was found dead in her hostel lodging under mysterious circumstances.


Nabeeha Chaudhry’s death was caused by a fire, while her family maintained that she had been murdered. On the insistence of Nabeeha’s mother an FIR of her murder was registered against ‘unknown’ culprits.

Police after taking all aspects of the death into consideration have termed the CSP officers death to be a suicide.
