Bomb explosion at Nasirabad transmission line triggers electricity crisis
ISLAMABAD: A bomb explosion destroyed the transmission line in Nasirabad causing the Uch power station to shutdown.

National transmission and dispatch company (NTDC) officials have said that Uch power plant was the first to trip which made the Muzaffar Garh, Lakhra, Jamshoro, Tarbela and Mangla grid stations to trip.

According to sources extra load on the transmission lines was the main reason behind the system’s failure.
