CM Sindh calls MQM’s protest outside CM house an attack
KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah claimed the MQM’s protest outside the CM House in September 2014 was an attack and not a protest.

The MQM had protested against a raid on one of other party offices while dozens of their workers had been detained.

“The CM House is the property of no one. It is shameful that it was attacked. This was indeed an attack and not a complaint,” Qaim Ali Shah said while addressing on the floor of the Sindh Assembly.

During the CM’s address, MPAs from the MQM started chanting and creating an uproar in the assembly.

Lawmakers from the MQM and PPP rose from their seats to move towards each other, while PPP’s Sharjeel Memon and MQM’s Faisal Subzwari had to calm down their respective party members.

The MQM MPAs eventually staged a walkout from the Sindh Assembly.
