Provinces consensus on two weekly off achieved
ISLAMABAD: The provinces have arrived at a consensus in the inter-provincial meeting held on Friday here for reviewing the implementation of the decisions taken in the recently held National Energy Conference, Geo News reported.

The meeting with the Federal Minister for water and power, Naveed Qamar in the chair was attended by the representatives of all the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

After the meeting, Naveed Qamar told Geo News that the provinces have expressed their willingness relating to observing two days off every week, while the relevant notification would be issued by the concerned provinces.

Naveed Qamar said that this would save 700 MW of electricity per day.

Sources told that a final decision relating to markets closing at 8.00 P.M. in the night and the new office timing could not be arrived at.
