PESHAWAR: Provincial Information Minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain informed the provincial assembly on Tuesday, about the identities of the terrorists involved in the attack on Bacha Khan Airport and the gunfight that ensued the following day.

Speaking in the assembly the Minister added, that blood samples of the terrorists have been sent for DNA tests and the reports are expected soon.

The Minister further added, that from the five terrorists involved in the attack on the Airport, two were Chechen and three were Pakistani, while those killed in the gunfight the following day in Pawaka village, included one Pakistani, one from Kyrgyzstan, one from Dagestan, one Uzbek and one Chechen.

Mian Iftikhar said those who attacked the Airport were trained people and it seems that militancy was dying down as trained people are usually used as a last option.

Regarding the tattoos on the bodies of the terrorists, Mian Iftikhar said, according to religious scholars such paintings on the human body are strictly prohibited. (APP)
