RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Line of Control on Wednesday where he was briefed on the ceasefire violations by Indian security forces, said an Inter-Services Public Relations press statement.

The general commanding officer briefed the army chief upon his visit about the Indian violations and Pakistani forces’ retaliatory response, said the ISPR.

During his address, the army chief said that recently the Indian violations have increased and their military leadership has frequently started giving aggressive statements.

General Bajwa said that Pakistan has a battle-hardened and professional army, which is always ready to defend its motherland.

The army chief met with soldiers deployed at the LoC and raised their morale.

COAS General Bajwa appreciated resilience of civilian Kashmiri population who are being deliberately targeted by Indian Army on both sides of the LoC, said the ISPR.

"It would be better if they realise this and place their stock in peace and progress through dialogue," said the army chief.
