ISLAMABAD: People visiting Weekly Bazaar at Sector G-6 face inconvenience due to non availability of proper parking area.

Several shops at the bazaar are still vacant and none has evinced interest to hire these shops in view of least civic facilities there in the bazaar.

Shopkeepers and vendors running their small business have also wound up their stalls from the market as the shoppers not visiting for shopping due to variety of reasons.

The authorities should arrange parking facility for visitors of G-6 Sunday Bazaa.

Lack of parking space in the G-6 residential area near the bazaar is also fast becoming an issue resulting into frequent quarrels among shoppers and owners of the houses.

"These policemen don't understand that we have no other option, but to park our bikes at roads or footpaths. They treat humanly to the car owners but their attitude towards us is usually humiliating as they don't treat us as human beings," said Saeed Khan, a motor biker.

Safe ur Rehman, a visitor of G-6 weekly bazaar, said that if there were proper parking arrangements at the weekly bazaars, no one would park vehicles on the roads.

When contacted an official of CDA said that the civic body was well aware of the problems being faced by the people and would try its level best to address these problems.

A parking lot would be developed near G-6 Bazaar, as the construction in this regard is already underway on the backside of the weekly bazaar, he added. He hoped that this step would help overcome the parking problems at the bazaar.
