How to stop Whatsapp from giving your number to Facebook

Popular messaging application Whatsapp has announced that it plans to share your number with social media giant Facebook.  

The announcement is a cause of concern for many users of the application who are reluctant to provide their information to Facebook.

If you are not willing to share this information, there are ways to stop it from happening.  

The first is not to click on agree when you  receive the new terms and conditions for Whatsapp. You should click on the read more option and uncheck the box which reads ‘share my Whatsapp account information with Facebook.’

For those who have already accepted the conditions, you can still opt out within 30 days. For this you will need to open the settings menu and the press the account tab. Then uncheck the box which says ‘to stop providing Facebook with your user data.’
