LONDON: The Pakistani community in the United Kingdom has announced a protest demonstration outside the house of Altaf Hussain in Edgware on Saturday.

The protesters plan to reach the residence of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement founder around midday on Saturday from across the UK for the demonstration.

Pakistani families, political and community leaders will be present during the protest. According to organisers, all parties will take part in the protest with the aim to get the attention of the British government.

The organisers said permission has already been granted by the police for the protest demonstration.

The protest comes days after British-Pakistanis protested against the MQM founder outside 10 Downing Street earlier this week.

"Altaf Hussain attacked Pakistan and British Pakistanis cannot tolerate it. British Pakistanis demand action against Altaf Hussain. He has destabilised Pakistan and action must be taken against him," World Congress of Pakistanis Secretary General Qamar Raza had said before the protest outside 10 Downing.

The Scotland Yard confirmed it was receiving a lot of telephone calls from Pakistanis demanding action from the Metropolitan Police department against the leadership of the MQM in London.
