KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) leader Asif Hasnain on Sunday joined forces with Pak Sar Zameen Party’s Mustafa Kamal.

Party leader Mustafa kamal was addressing a press conference in Karachi. Asif Hasnain announced his affiliation to the party during the PSP leaders' press conference, where he stated that after anti-Pakistan slogans it was hard being a part of MQM.

"I had decided to leave the party on August 22," he said, adding that it was the blackest day in the MQM's history.

Asif said that MQM Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar should differentiate between right and wrong.

Asif Hasnain, who was elected Member of National Assembly from NA-255 on a MQM ticket, also announced to resign from the membership of the assembly.

On the occasion, PSP leader Kamal said that MQM Pakistan’s front man Farooq Sattar and party founder Altaf Hussain are playing a fixed match.

Kamal alleged that after Azeem Tariq and Imran Farooq, Farooq Sattar’s life is also in danger.

The PSP leader said that the MQM chief in a safe way is still contacting everyone, adding that Sattar is making failed attempts at saving him.

“If a disassociation announcement has been made then MQM assembly members should leave the mandate too,” he said.

Following the violence that ensued after MQM chief Altaf Hussain's speech, a crackdown began against the party's offices and its leaders. On August 25, Asif Hasnain was detained by Rangers from the airport as he was trying to catch a flight to Islamabad.
