Karan Johar spills the beans of his film's characters

Karan Johar’s next release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has been garnering a lot of hype lately due to the star cast in the film.

The teaser for the film which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwariya Rai was recently released which has created a lot of curiosity among movie-goers. The teaser begins with Ranbir crooning to the title track and then goes on to focus on the friendships, one-sided love and heartbreaks.

After the teasers were released, Karan Johar talked about the characters of Aishwariya Rai and Anushka Sharma. He revealed that the role of Aishwariya Rai is one which she has never played before. In the film, her character will be seen as a poet who is not very good at her art and so does not receive the kind of respect other poets get in their community. While Anushka Sharma plays a character of a strong woman who comes from a dysfunctional family.

Karan added that both the characters in this film are complex and strong.
