IoK attack: India’s NIA begins probe

Officials of the NIA have arrived in occupied Kashmir to carry out the probe

India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has begin its probe of the suspected rebels attack on an Indian army brigade headquarters in Uri near the Line of Control with Pakistan.

17 soldiers were killed in the attack.  The Indian army claimed to have killed four attackers.

Officials of the NIA have arrived in occupied Kashmir to carry out the probe.

Following the attack India’s Home Minister Rajnath Singh blamed Pakistan. Islamabad has called the Indian allegations baseless and without any proof.
