Marriage delayed as relatives scuffle on arrival of Baraat

FAISALABAD: A scuffle between relatives of the bride and the groom delayed the marriage in Faisalabad on Tuesday.

The scuffle broke out between the two sides just as the Baraat - groom's wedding procession - arrived to take the bride. Welcoming the relatives of the groom, an altercation took place that turned into a brawl.

A number of people from either side were reported injured in the wake of the scuffle. As the word spread, police also arrived at the venue.

The bridegroom and companions were still awaiting resolution of the matter while this story was being filed.
