Trumpeting Undergoes Hillarious End?

In an obvious move to lodge her powerful protest against Donald Trump's recent remarks on women, Hillary Clinton refused to shake hands with her rival as soon as both appeared in the second Presidential Debate which was held in the Town Hall format at Washington University in St. Louis; and watched in the early hours of Monday in Pakistan.

Many, among millions of people who witnessed the debate live all over the world, may have no confusions over why she did that! And by showing no reluctance in shaking hands with him finally at the end of the debate, she, without any shadow of doubt, has successfully established what she actually had in mind. She did want the people of the world know the reason behind her act!

While Clinton once again proves to be way ahead of Trump as per the fresh post-debate polls suggests today, Trump seems to be getting under trouble after his videos containing objectionable remarks against women came to the fore! In Sunday nights debate too, he didn’t appear to be as confident as he should have!

In reaction to all the allegations and scandalous accusations made on him either by moderators or Clinton herself, all he had to do is talk on the much discussed and publicized controversy connected to her email leakages. Although, at times, he accused her of making rhetoric and telling lies, his own statements – which he made during the second debate - clearly sounded much dragged and most of the time, without substance and meaning.”… you would be in jail,” was how he absurdly interrupted her as she talked about the need of knowing facts.

In response to a voter’s question, enraged Trump said there has been a drastic increase in the tax cuts under the Obama-Clinton administration, and that was a disaster. He claimed to have made a far more beneficial plan for the tax cuts. And in turn, Clinton made him virtually speechless, saying: “It is sort of amusing to hear somebody who hasn’t paid federal income taxes in may be 20 years, talking about what he is going to do!”

Trump, in fact, seemed very much under instructions especially in the early moments. As was the format, the discussion was based on questions being put to both the candidates by American voters present on the occasion. The first question of the show was put to Clinton, not Trump, whereas the issue was the future of American youth. As soon as Clinton concluded her response and one of the moderators asked Trump to present his views, he, instead of replying to the exact question, spoke about his controversial remarks, asking for an apology. He was clever enough to assess what he needed in the first place; so didn’t anyone wait to question the remarks. “I respect women,” were the three desperate words that he repeatedly uttered without anyone asking for it.

Donald Trump is already known for his intermittent shifts to different political parties throughout his career, for his return to the Republican party in late 1990s and for his biased views on immigrants, has been a source of annoyance and discomfort to a large population of the world especially the third world and Muslim countries including Pakistan.

Once, during a party debate held in September last year, he had categorically said if he wins the elections, he will involve India if Pakistan becomes unstable! What he actually meant by saying this, is very clear. He surely believes in India’s supremacy in the region and the fact does not encourage Pakistanis to extend any scratch of support or sympathy to him as the President of the United States. For an ordinary Pakistani citizen, in fact, Trump might sound to be the one that could take and initiate certain unprecedented actions or decisions that might bring Pakistan in an awkward position in terms deterrence and balance of power in South Asia.

Nevertheless, there have been people that might support him powerfully as he appears to be the one who can go radically and ruthlessly against those involved in financing Islamic terrorism, dealing with supplying arms and ammunition to international Jihadi groups and those involved in making and running terrorist training camps - Daesh being the first on his hit list! What he firmly believes is that the terrorist organization is the consequence of a vacuum created by Obama–Clinton administration by waging a war against Iraq without making so much of sense as well as by withdrawing forces from the troubled country so abruptly. Some believe he might give an exceptionally tough time to the perpetrators of global terrorism and to the nations that have been proving themselves as a nursery to this menace. This is perhaps his only policy that could have been popular not only in his own country but in most parts of the world had he been realistically conscious and mindful over his language, tone and behavior. But this is of course, is not the end of the world to him.

For Trump, there is another debate scheduled on October 19, 2016. It means, he still has a chance to defend himself amidst severe controversies and fierce reaction on part of the people, including his own party’s elite, against his remarks and views. Some of the party leaders, very much connected to the Republicans establishment, have already been against his presidential candidature! It’s therefore, a critical situation to face! While Clinton too needs to improve her stances on Bin Ghazi Bombing and Email Scandal for the remaining part of the campaign, Trump has to work far harder before the next showdown. Frankly, if he actually thinks, ‘tomorrow is another day!’
