A fisherman caught on camera five whales visiting Karachi

KARACHI: A fisherman caught amazing footage from his mobile phone of five humpback whales which were spotted at the Karachi sea on Saturday.

He thinks the whales had come to the sea to eat shrimp, the favourite food of these giant mammals.

One of them had a wound which could have been caused due to fishing gear, he said.

This is the second times these whales have been spotted, this time 57 kilometer away from Karachi, the World Wide Fund maintains.

According to an estimate there are only 82 humpback whales in the world.
