Indian police claim to confiscate ‘Pakistani balloon’

Indian police claimed on Tuesday that a balloon from Pakistan was found in Punjab’s Dera Baba Nanak sector.

According to Indian media reports, a local found the balloon near India-Pakistan international border and informed the police about it.

The police upon arrival confiscated the balloon and claimed that the balloon had a slip having names of two Pakistani nationals and three cellphone numbers.

Police said that they are investigating the matter.

Several times in the past, Indian police has claimed that has taken into custody ‘suspicious pigeons’ from Pakistan. The claims come usually after relations between the two neighbours deteriorate.

Earlier, Indian police said they have taken a pigeon into custody after it was found carrying a warning note to Prime Minister Narendra Modi near the nation´s heavily militarised border with Pakistan.
