KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar said that without connecting Karachi with the western route, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would not meet success.

While addressing the participants at the party’s worker convention in Baldia town, Sattar said CPEC would only meet success when a 300-kilometre corridor between Karachi and Balochistan is constructed.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should make mass transit system, however, the people of Karachi would not settle for anything less than circular railway, he said.

Sattar reiterated that MQM Pakistan would bring back the lost glory of the metropolis while emphasising on education and peace in the city. He said if Karachi remains on track, the city would decide the matters of Islamabad.

He said MQM Pakistan would approach people’s court for the abrogation of the quota system and for the immediate implementation of census.
