The Internet has once again worked its magic, as a Bangladeshi national working in Saudi Arabia was bombarded with precious gifts, when his photo went viral. The man, who later came to be known as Nuzroul Abdulkareem, was photographed looking at gold on display at a jewelry shop.

An Instagram user mhhd7 mocked him and uploaded the picture captioned, “This man deserves to only look at rubbish.”

However, there was an outpour of support for Abdulkareem. One internet user Abdullah Al-Qahtani, a businessman with the Twitter handle @ensaneyat began a campaign to look for him. He sent out a tweet which was tweeted 6000 times and in about three hours he finally located him.

When he found him he tweeted a his picture.

When he posted his photo people began asking him for ways to help him out. One person even sent him a gold set.

Al-Qahtani mentioned, without a specific sum, that “more money is being sent to Nuzroul.” He added that Abdulkareem is grateful for the “two-way tickets to his home country, and two phones - one iPhone 7 and one Samsung Galaxy” he has been presented with as the outpour of Saudi nationals’ generosity continues.

The cleaner earns $187 (700 Saudi riyal) per month at present.

Overcome with emotion, Abdulkareem said, “I am very thankful.” He is a very hardworking and caring man, as he keeps an eye on the stray kittens on the street he is responsible for, according to Al-Qahtani.

Twitter users were able to locate Abdulkareem through the shop names reflected in the window in the picture. Later, he was photographed with the various gifts he had received.
