Two gunned down in Karachi violence

KARACHI: At least two people were dead and a number wounded after firing incidents in different areas of the metropolis on Saturday.

In Baldia town number 5 and Lyari, unidentified men killed two people and fled from the spot. The deceased were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal examination and a case was registered by the authorities immediately in the said police jurisdiction.

Three people were reportedly injured due to bullet injuries in Nazimabad, Hasan Square and M A Jinnah Road.

In an overnight raid at Orangi town, Rangers arrested a banned outfit member, Naseem Haider alias Firaun. According to the paramilitary spokesperson, the arrested man was involved in a number of sectarian killings, further adding that the suspect has confessed of being involved in nine sectarian killings. A huge cache of weapons was recovered from him. 

Meanwhile, in Azizabad`s Bhangoria Goth, the local residents nabbed an alleged dacoit and handed over to the police after thrashing him.
