An eight-month old infant from Pakistan became the youngest bone marrow donor in India. Rayan donated his bone marrow stem cells to his elder sister, two-and-a-half-year old Zeenia.

Zeeina whose family is from Sahiwal underwent successful bone marrow surgery at Bone Marrow Transplant at Narayana Health City hospital in the Indian city of Bengaluru.

Doctors have declared Zeenia cured of the deadly disease and say her younger brother is also fine.
