PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti said his government is providing full assistance to national and international institutes and welfare organizations that had extended helping hand in rehabilitation activities for flood affectees.
Assistance of all sorts to affectees is our common objective. He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of FINCON Consultants which met under company President Shahid Yousuf. Other official of the company Mohammed Khan Atal and ANP President District Mardan Engineer Abbas, and DG PDMA Shakil Qadir were also present. Leader of the delegation Shahid Yousuf apprised the chief minister of his company’s package worth 2 billion for flood affectees through out the country, comprising medicines, other medical equipments and winter clothes.
He said relief goods worth 50 crore are for affectees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The chief minister lauded these generous efforts of FINCON and said people and government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa highly revered these efforts. The chief minister directed DG PDMA for devising program-involving authorities from health departments, for provision and distribution of these goods among flood affectees and to provide assistance in transportation.
Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti said our efforts would continue till complete rehabilitation of flood affectees. He said before asking federal government and international community for assistance, we have preferred compensation to heirs of flood victims and devastation from provincial resources by suspending annual development program worth 17 billion that are insufficient for our needs. The chief minister apprised the delegation of devastation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rehabilitation activities, reconstruction of infra structure and compensation to affectees.
He said though flooding had wreaked havoc across the country but from geographical perspective Khyber Pakhtunkhwa affected the most. He said communication network in upper areas of the province is completely washed away, huge loss incurred to human life and live stock, agriculture and employment sectors gone choke up in this province.
The delegation of FINCON lauded efforts of the provincial government particularly Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti for facing challenges before and after flooding and said this mammoth challenge was only succeeded due mutual trust between the government and people and patience and unity of the people and untiring efforts of the government.
President FINCON Shahid Yousuf through detailed light on activities of his organization across the globe. He said FINCON was established in 1996 and are rendering services in various sectors in different countries across the globe including Pakistan. He said FINCON consists of dedicated professional and the company had a strong belief in participatory development, bringing stakeholders and beneficiaries together. He said the objective of the company is to provide services in various countries in agriculture, civil services, information technology, human resource development, health, education, SME sector, gender, social protection and engineering and urban development sectors.
