Gas explosion injures 15 in New Ferry

LONDON: A strong gas explosion has destroyed several buildings in New Ferry, Merseyside, UK, according to British press.

The explosion reportedly took place at a dance studio. Initial reports state it may have been gas explosion. Around 15 are believed to have been injured while inside a nearby Chinese restaurant.

Nearby homes have had their windows blown through.

A witness described the aftermath as being ‘like a war zone’.

Merseyrail services have been severely affected.

Those injured have been taken to Countess of Chester Hospital.
