Rs 420 million being spent for promotion of education: Abbasi

RAWALPINDI: Member of National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said on Tuesday that Rs 420 million were being spent for the promotion of education in the city.

He said that Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif was taking interest in this regard.

He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Abdul Rab Block at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dhoke Kashmirian, which has been constructed at the cost of Rs 10 million.

Senator Begum Najma Hameed, Raja Muhammad Hanif, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) EDO, education Malik Muhammad Ashraf, DO Secondary Education Chaudhry Muhammad Sadiq, DDO Elementary Muhammad Yasin, Principal Mrs Khalida Munir social worker Wasif Ahmed Raja and other officials were also present.

Senator Begum Najma Hameed also spoke on the occasion and stressed the importance of education.
