ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London members conducted target practice at a private housing society in Islamabad, sources confided to Geo News Sunday.

On May 13, the Punjab Rangers carried out a raid on the housing society in Islamabad's outskirts and arrested several people from there.

The raid was reportedly conducted without informing the district administration, which led the Interior Ministry to warn the paramilitary force of taking back its policing powers if it failed to explain the controversial snoop.

Sources have now revealed that the paramilitary personnel seized NATO weapons, explosives, hand grenades and other equipment from the society's offices.

They said the arms and ammunition was stored for possible use for terrorism.

MQM-London leaders and absconding members used to be facilitated at the housing society, sources said.

It was also claimed that the CEO of the housing project would impart shooting training to MQM-London's party office-bearers at the society.
