Rangers arrest seven suspects, including MQM-L activist

KARACHI: At least seven people were arrested by paramilitary forces in raids in different areas of the metropolis on Friday, informed a Rangers spokesperson.

The spokesperson claimed that the suspects were involved in a number of crimes, adding that from the Preedy area, an activist of MQM-London Muhammad Danish Akhtar was arrested on charges of target killing, extortion, and other crimes.

A suspected robber, identified as Asifs was also arrested from Saudabad.

Two suspects, Syed Ali and Sheeraz, were arrested from Gulberg, Lyari and Saudabad areas of the city on charges of mobile snatching.

Two unregistered Afghan nationals and a drug peddler Jangi Baloch have also been nabbed from Lyari. Illegal weapons and narcotics were recovered from Baloch, officials claimed. 

The Rangers spokesperson informed that the suspects have been handed over to police for legal action.
