Hot, humid weather to impact Pakistan through Wednesday: MET

Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail in most parts of the country, the PMD said.

Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating into upper and central parts of the country on Wednesday.

A westerly wave is affecting most upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist till Thursday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.

Rain and dust-thundershower with gusty winds are expected at scattered places in KP, FATA, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur divisions and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sahiwal, Multan, D.G. Khan, Zhob divisions, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Light rain and drizzle are expected at few places along Sindh coast.

Past weather

Rain and dust-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The weather remained hot and dry elsewhere in the country.
