LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA Shah Jahan has claimed the teenage domestic help employed at her house died of an illness, and that the allegations of torture levelled against her daughter were false.

While talking to Geo News, the MPA said the 16-year-old domestic help, Akhtar, was not willing to see the doctor despite being sick. Therefore, she claimed, the boy succumbed to his illness, and neither she nor her daughter was responsible for his death.

Deceased boy, Akhtar

Akhtar’s father had registered a complaint at Akbari Gate police station against Shah Jahan’s daughter Fauzia, for torturing his son to death.

Terrorism charges

However, trial of the murder case will be held at the anti-terrorism court as terrorism charges have also been added to the FIR.

According to Investigation SSP Mubashir Maken the murder has spread terror in the society.

The post-mortem report of the boy shows 16 torture marks on the body. Besides, his sister, 14-year-old Atia, has been examined medically and further investigation would be carried out after the report is prepared.

Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Chairperson Saba Sadiq said they will fight the case and not back out or come under any sort of pressure.

Akhtar’s body was found in a sack from the house of Punjab MPA Shah Jahan after police reached the site over information provided by the locals.
