Hot, dry weather expected in most parts of the country on Sunday: MET

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday said hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours.

Monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal are penetrating northeastern parts of the country, and a westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the country during the next few days.

Rain and thunderstorm with gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, lower Sindh, FATA, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Sunday.

The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country on Saturday. However, rain and thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, upper FATA, and Kashmir.
