EVANSVILLE: To honour the late actress Carrie Fisher, an Indiana farmer created a corn maze outlining the face of Star Wars character Princess Leia, reported Associated Press on Friday.

The farmer, identified as Jeremy Goebel, had designed the corn maze in February, about a month after Fisher's death in late December.

Now that the corn is mature its trails outline the distinctive hairstyle and the upper body of the iconic character. The trails also spell out "Carrie Fisher RIP 1956-2016."

Goebel shared that he has been wanting to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher for a long time now.

Fisher died at age 60 on December 27, four days after she went into cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles.
